New Balance, like other companies that manufacture running shoes, insoles and orthotics, has a reputation to stand behind. If you buy any New Balance orthotic or insoles, you can expect that they will be OVC-free and latex-free. That’s exceptionally good news for those who are sensitive to chemicals and latex. Did you know that latex-free insoles were available?
The types of New Balance latex-free insoles that are available include:
- New Balance Motion Control Insoles IMC3210 Sports Cushion Insoles – These even look different than other insoles on the market. Check out the metatarsal arch that has been contoured in such a way that your weight will be redistributed with each step. These were formerly known as the New Balance Sport Cushion Insoles. You can use them in dress shoes, athletic shoes, hiking shoes, and boots made with removable inserts. Good for those with any arch type.
- New Balance Stability Insoles IAS3720 – Again, all arch types may benefit from these New Balance insoles. Both traditional orthotic features of arch support and heel cup are already in place for you with these insoles, and you get a few extra features such as the custom made air flow channels that cool your feet, the anti-blister and anti-slip, antimicrobial fabric top coat, and Hytrel arch plate for superior arch support and cushioning. These were formerly called New Balance Arch Support Insoles.
- New Balance Pressure Relief Insoles Wide with Metatarsal Support IPR 3030 – These are so different from the others with the Plastazote top coat that makes them mold to your feet that you might suspect New Balance didn’t create them. But they did! These New Balance insoles also offer extra support for the ball of the foot, which makes them great for conditions such as Morton’s neuroma.
People with wide feet need a wide insole because otherwise an insole won’t cover the bottom of their foot. With toes hanging off an insole, the little pinkies aren’t protected and hammertoes or a tailor’s bunion could develop. Insoles made for wide feet are especially important for diabetics, whose feet seem to grow a little bit every year.
- New Balance Pro Gel Supportive Insoles ICGI1010 – These New Balance insoles are for hiking shoes and boots but can also be added to most athletic shoes or casual shoes. They feature an antimicrobial, anti-slip top coat and metatarsal arch. The metatarsal arch support is a great feature because it provides relief for those who have Morton’s neuroma and/or plantar fasciitis.
These New Balance insoles may be trimmed to fit your shoes. To trim them, simply remove the current insoles in the shoes that you will be using for the new New Balance insoles. Then match the old right insole with the new right insole. Outline the form of the old insole onto the new insole. Then remove the old insole and cut it with heavy duty scissors or a razor blade knife.
