Once a year, we attempt to take the kids to the beach to just relax and get away from day-to-day life. On our trip this year, I wore the Sof Sol FIT Performance Insoles in my tennis shoes and brought my favorite Spenco Orthotic Total Support Sandals (that you will find me wearing around the house) for the beach. Normally, I don’t bring anything other than sandals; however, this year we were going to a new beach and I knew there would be alot of walking, biking, and running -so the tennis shoes came.
The Sof Sole FIT’s come in three styles: Low, Neutral, and High Arch. Having a Neutral Arch foot, I brought the Neutral Arch’s (in the green box) home to switch out my insoles for our great adventure. I will tell you that they come in a stylish box and have a nice foot design on the top. Fortunately, there is more to the insole then just the design. The insole is a relatively low profile and light orthotic arch support insert. For those that are looking for a minimalist type insole that can still deliver on the orthotic arch support, The Sof Sole FIT is the insole. From a profile standpoint, it is lower (and less intrusive) then the Superfeet, and even more so then the orthotic Powersteps.
I really have enjoyed wearing the Sof Sole FIT insoles for the past two weeks (since our vacation). They deliver on what one seeks out in an orthotic arch support insole. The deep heel cup functioned by positioning my heels appropriately for both support and cushioning. The arch support provided a good alignment despite slightly different lengths in my feet, and the forefoot padding to the toes was minimalist yet there for good cushioning.
One of my greatest concerns for these insoles -let alone bringing tennis shoes on a beach trip was heat. We were in sweltering 90+ degree heat -yet there was never a time that I felt any heat build up nor had sweaty feet. My tennis shoes are somewhat tight so I can test an insole as to how intrusive it is for the person who’s not gone up a shoe size to adjust for a replacement insoles space needs. This is the least intrusive orthotic arch support insole that I’ve worn.
Over-all, I’d recommend the Sof Sole FIT Performance Insoles. They are made for everyday wear and heavy athletic use (such as running). At some point, we will have a customer review who’s taken the insoles the distance for the hard core running crowd (if your interested, let me know!). For those whom have been wearing the discontinued Sof Sole Adapts, Customs, and/or Stabilities, The FIT is the replacement insole. Check out all the Sof Sole Insoles or view all our orthotics at Arch Inserts.
Of coarse I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the Spenco Yumi Orthotic Sandals. Just as I mentioned in my Spenco Yumi Sandals Review, I love these sandals and wear them daily around our pool at home. I am happy to say that they carried their own weight on the beach too! If you wear flip-flops, treat yourself to a pair of orthotic arch sandals -not only will you feel comfy but your feet will feel great too!!! Come visit TheInsoleStore.com Today!
