I’ve been having some pretty significant foot pain for the past 2 to 3 years. Some days it’s worse than others. I try to walk 2 miles daily and if I don’t do it early in the morning my feet hurt so badly by the end of the day that I can’t do it. It’s gotten to the place that even getting up in the middle of the night to get a drink or go to the bathroom is excruciating. I can’t even walk in the house across the bare floor without a pair of slippers or some flip flops. Spending a full day painting or other miscellaneous work on a rental was really becoming a problem.
I had done a little research on-line and read several of the articles on Tyler’s website about the causes of different foot pain. While I have self-diagnosed myself (not recommended!!!) the articles on Tyler’s site are very informative. I know I walk on the outside of my feet (I can tell by the way my shoes look!!!) and it’s inherited from my dad. And while I generally buy what I think of as higher quality shoes (Nike, Ariat Performance, Twisted X) it has become apparent that most shoes don’t really “fit” my foot. I picked up a couple pair of insoles to try and all I can say is “Wow!!!” I thought I would try this and if it didn’t work I would make an appointment with a foot doctor and prepare myself for their $500 insoles. For the first time in several years I’m experiencing relief!!!
I’ve been helping my mom with harvest and fixing meals, running errands, etc for the past 5 days. Spending most the day on my feet and on the move. I came home on Friday after a pretty grueling day and my feet were tired but I could still walk because I had very little pain. I need to get a couple pair for my dad so he can get some relief too.
