Personally I like to tie my laces tight and had to loosen them up a bit; however one needs to remember these shoes are tight and most larger cushion insoles would not fit well in them -so the Comfortlast’s work.  They measure 1/4 inch thick at the forefoot and @ 1/4 inch thick at the bottom of the heel support.  The top of the arch support comes in at 1 1/8 inch thick but is closer to 3/4 thick about a 1/2 inch off the inside edge of the shoe.   They will work for all arch types (flat feet, low, neutral, and high).
