Just two weeks ago, we made our ‘over-the-weekend’ move to our new warehouse facility at The Insole Store.com and I had this suspicion that I would be running all over the place helping set-up shelves, place shoe insoles, and generalized back and force as we scrambled to get organized and ready to ship ASAP to our customers Monday morning. I thought this would be a perfect time to re-visit one of my favorite shoe insoles (a sort of hybrid orthotic arch support and cushioned shoe insole), the Sof Sole Airr Orthotic Insoles, as Sof Sole had recently made a slight product modification to it and it’s sister insole (the Sof Sole Airr Insoles). For standing on concrete all day, the Sof Sole Airr Insoles and Airr Orthotic’s offer the best in cushioning and foot pain relief!
Let me explain the difference between these two shoe insoles. The Sof Sole Airr Performance Insoles are a relatively flat cushion insole while the Sof Sole Airr Orthotic Performance Insoles are the same cushion insole with a semi-flexible orthotic arch support ideally for a flat foot, low or neutral arch. I am a neutral arched foot with no foot conditions, however, I choose the Sof Sole Airr Orthotic’s as I enjoy the extra arch support which (with these insoles) are very flexible and not rigid or hard at all.
Back in the Fall of 2012 the manufacturer of Sof Sole Insoles, Implus, made a modification to both the Airr and Airr Orthotic Insoles by making them a bit slimmer (in the heel and toe region) in depth so that they would fit more shoes. The Sof Sole Airr Orthotic Insoles went from a thickness of 3/8 of an inch to 5/16th of an inch at the heel, received (a very unnoticeable) raised heel cushion (that looks like a button), and maintained the same 1/4 inch thickness at the ball of foot and toe region while the Sof Sole Airr’s made the same changes but the ball of foot/toe region trimmed down to 3/8 inch thickness. I doubt most customers will notice a difference.
For me the Sof Sole Airr Orthotic Insoles are fantastic. For the last 2 weeks, I have been running all over handling new logistics issues and streamlining processes necessary to efficiently help our customers find the best insole for their feet while making sure we get the order shipped out the door ASAP. Working 10-14 hours as of late and mostly on my feet, I whole-heartily recommend the Sof Sole Airr and Airr Orthotic Insoles. I have experienced no
foot pain -not even at the end of the day. What I particularly like about the Sof Sole Insoles is that they offer the best in cushioning specifically in the regions most needed -in fact I don’t know of another insole that is similar. Sof Sole incorporates a built-in gel metatarsal pad for ‘the best’ in ball of foot comfort and uses their revolutionary SKYDEX twin impact Air Impact technology in the heel to not only absorb shock and weight but to create kinetic energy in reflecting it back into the foot for positive momentum during one’s stride. For those looking for sweat and odor protection, the insoles offer a Microban antimicrobial treated COOL MAX top coat fabric that is specifically designed to wick away moisture.
I tend to stand on the balls of my feet so these insoles are a favorite as they offer the best in metatarsal padding in a high density form. For those looking to reduce heel pain, they are a great alternative too. As you can see, the Sof Sole Airr Orthotic Insoles fit in my converse shoes -so while they are thick -they still fit.
So if your looking for work insoles that are cushion insole’s, the Sof Sole Airr and Airr Orthotic Insoles are a great choice. Check out the Sof Sole Airr Orthotic Insoles at The Insole Store.com today!
