At the Insole Store.com, we take many calls from customers seeking a good cushioned insole that offers superior arch support for heavy duty needs such as hiking, military boots, and/or increased foot support. The Spenco Polysorb Earthbound Insoles are often misjudged until worn as these Earthbound Insoles offer supperior support & cushion.
Prior to wearing the Spenco Earthbound Insoles, they appeared to be the same as the Spenco Total Support Insoles; however, they offer much more. First off, The Spenco Earthbound Insoles are the replacement insoles for the Discontinued Spenco Dayhiker and Spenco Backpacker Insoles. As a result, the Earthbound Insoles are beefed up to handle the extra stress from weight -whether it be our own personal weight or our backpacks. A common question from our customers is why should I pay $5-6 dollars more for the Spenco Earthbound Insoles as compared to the Total Support Insoles. There is a big difference! While they both are built on the same frame of a deep heel cup to arch cradle support system, the Earthbound’s have twice the cushioning throughout the heel, arch support, and metatarsal pad. For Superior cushioning, The Earthbound Insoles are the best solution -hands down.
I like the Spenco Polysorb Earthbound Insoles as they offer a slender profile for tighter fitting shoes and a flexible heel to orthotic arch support compared to traditional orthotic arch supports. They rate for all foot arch types and I think that’s fairly accurate; however more best for low to medium arched feet. At first I felt that they provided almost to much cushion support for my day-to-day casual shoe use (so the Spenco Total Support Insoles work better in my tight shoes); however, I can see were they are ideal for those who stand all day in work/play envirorments for work shoes or work boots and/or use with hiking, military, and hunting boots. They are also recommend for athletic, tennis, basketball, and training shoes. If your not happy with The Spenco Total Support Insoles because you need more cushioning in the heal, arch, or metatarsal pad, but like the general build of the insole -upgrade to the Spenco Earthbound Insoles.
True to it’s name, The Earthbound Insoles offer the Polysorb by Spenco Insoles proprietary build. The heel to arch cradle
support system offers the patented Polysorb support system that insures an insole that retains it’s shape and built to last. This heel to cradle support system improve motion control to reduce pronation and supination. In addition, they are made with 55% recycled and recyclable materials.
Again, from looking at the pictures it’s hard to tell the difference; however, The Spenco Polysorb Earthbound Insoles are quite different. For superior cushionging comfort in handling extra stress, strain, and weight, there is no question -the Earthbound Insoles are the way to go.
